This spectacular diamond crescent pendant of yesteryear converts to a brooch making it your most versatile piece! Diamonds are old mine and rose cut total approx. 4.78 cts. and are set in 14K white gold on a 14K yellow gold back. Measures approx. 1-1/2" in diameter. 9.6 grams. This brooch was made in the Edwardian era, around 1900. At that time white gold had not been invented and platinum was not yet popular so to get the appearance of a white metal, goldcrafters layered sterling silver on top of yellow gold. King Edward VII married Alexandra of Denmark so her fashion preferences were dominant.Alexandra loved celestial things so she wore a lot of jewelry related to stars, sunbursts and crescent moons.*Prices are subject to change based on fluctuations in metal prices and currencies
